I never really considered having my own blog until recently. I have facebook. (Duh!!! Who doesn't!!) But anyway, I was reading posts about Obama being the most divisive President in our History. A point with which I agree strongly. and that was driven home to me even more with this event. You see, I read this post made by a relative. My intention was to share it and then make comment that this was just one more instance of proof of how divisive Obama really is. However, fate stepped in. It was what I call an "Annabel Day". That is when our 2 year old Grand Daughter is with us. So, I shared the post, and then was pulled away, since in my mind, when my grand babies are with me THEY have priority. Well, I never got back there to that post. You see, my memory isn't what it once was. By the time I realized, and tried to get back, my computer did a nose dive. Once fixed, I went back to find that I had supposedly insulted my entire democrat family!!!!
Here is the irony of this whole mess....I used to believe in the ideologies of the democrat party. Course, that was the Kennedy democrat party. That was when the Democrats believed in Kennedy's words "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask What YOU can do for your country." However, As I got older, I saw a democrat party that fought against the rights of blacks. A party who rejected civil rights. And I went on my own, because, Like Reagan..the party left me! Yes, I am registered Republican. But ONLY because in Pennsylvania, you lose your right to vote in the primaries if you do not belong to one of the two main parties. Now, I see a democrat party that has moved to a socialist ideology, and, using welfare and "give me" programs has bought their way to power. Effectively enslaving people. And people are blind to it!
Thus, I stand my ground. I am who I am. I have seen and learned. I shall continue to fight against what I see as the tyranny of the Obama Administration. An administration that turns it's back on those serving our country and lets them get man-raped, and murdered. THEN lies about it! An administration that then embraces the likes of the Muslim Brotherhood.
So to my Family. I am what I am. I hold little more sacred than family. But I hold my freedoms and this great country sacred also. So I will fight against that which I see threatening any of these things.
Now...allow me to add this. I have been called a racist, a killer, a baby killer, and much worse. Some because of my ideology and some because of my religion. But most important, it is only since I have stood against Obama that this has happened. Course, when I came back from Nam, I was called baby killer also. And THAT was from the members of the new liberal movement that has now become the democratic party.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I have thought hard about my life. And I have come to this conclusion. I AM NOT PERFECT. I am a sum of my total life. The things I do and the things I say are a result of what I have lived. I have made many great changes in my life and have decided that at 62 years old I WILL CHANGE NO MORE!!!
ReplyDeleteI am fed up with being told I am wrong when I am right, I am tired of people who have an aversion to agreement, and I am tired of people trying to tell me what to and not to say!!!
So here is the deal. I WILL BE ME!!!IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE WAY I AM, THE THINGS I SAY OR THE THINGS I STAND FOR...............LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!!!! If you are afraid I will infect your kids with my words or deeds, it is best to keep them away from me. I am who I am. I am who life has made me. I have served my country war. I have been shot at, charged upon, and bombed. I am who I am. I can teach you many great truths, but you have to accept all of me or none at all!!!
So here is the deal....I was raised to respect my elders. Yeah, I had elders that cussed, drank, and other vices. But I respected them. Did I try to change them???? Hell no!!!! I was told by my father that a man is made by what he lives. Accept him for that because he has earned the right to be who he is!! I believe I have earned the right!!! I changed things in my life so that I was better accepted by my spouse and her family. But I will change no more. I AM ROBLEY. ROBLEY IS WHAT I WILL REMAIN. IF YOU WANT ME DIFFERENT....WALK OUT OF MY LIFE!!!
